Osaron is an oshoc from Black London. He tried to be that world's "god," but his actions backfired and led to Black London's fall.

Physical description[]

Because Osaron is entirely made from magic, he looks like a living statue. All of him is glossy black, except for eyes which are swirls of grey smoke, slightly lighter than the rest of him. Osaron wears a crown and a cloak.[1]

Personality[]

Biography[]

History[]

Almost three hundred years ago, Osaron[1] completely overpowered humanity in Black London. His magic spread like a plague and corrupted everything. Before the plague could extend to the other worlds,[2] the other Londons—Red, White, and Grey—closed their doors.[3]

Making a deal[]

When Holland Vosijk arrives in Black London in October 1819, Osaron decides to save him. For a month, Holland lies unconscious before he awakens and finds Osaron in his palace. There, Osaron offers him a deal: If he allows him to live in his body, he will save White London. Though Holland is hesitant to bind himself yet again to someone, he accepts.[1]

Osaron—within Holland—travels to White London, and Holland becomes the new king. They use Osaron's power to revive White London and try to create artificial Antari. All test subjects perish, except for Ojka who becomes Holland's loyal knight.[4]

Skills and abilities[]

  • Magic: Because he is sentient magic, Osaron possesses immense magical abilities. However, he is unable to use the full capacity of his powers without the agreement and possession of an Antari host.

Appearances[]

Trivia[]

  • "Osaron" is an old Antari word that means "shadow."[1]
  • "Osaron" is also the third-person plural preterite indicative form of the Spanish verb osar[5] which means "to dare" in English.[6]
